Xtra Overdoze Releases New Single ‘Strait Jacket’

Xtra Overdoze Released A New Single And We Have A Review

Written By: Sid Jones

Xtra Overdoze has been gaining attention rather quickly. From his crazy live streams, to his live performances. The songs he has done and the energy this man has cannot be contained. From Underground Hustlin’ 65 to Psychopathic Lunatic. He now has the eyes of the underground. The fans and artists alike are chanting for more.

Does his new single Strait Jacket stray away from the Xtra Overdoze we know and love? Or does this artist continue to thrive on what he does best? Well, here at RoxxxTV we have the answer. That’s why you’re here. That’s why we do what we do. So ladies and gentleman, we present to you the  Strait Jacket Review!

Shocking Blend

Xtra Overdoze has blended club beats, confusing us at first. The way he sings the song is similar to Our Lady Peace and then kicks into reggae. Sounds crazy right? When you throw all that in with his horror lyricism, you’ve got yourself a track you’re gonna want to hear more than once.

This is the equivalent of watching a movie like The Departed and watching it again, only to discover something new. After each viewing, it’s not the same film as it was the first time around. Take that cinematic creativity and put that into a listening format. You have the general idea of what Strait Jacket truly is. A genius masterpiece.

Did You Hear THAT?!

The lyrics start off serious and heartfelt. Can you save me? Because I don’t want to fall. You say I’m crazy, but I’m not alone. Sounds deep? Well, prepare for the punch at the end of the hook. You say I’m lazy, lick these salty balls. That was when the Xtra Overdoze we know and love comes in. However, it did remind me of a similar artist. Blending a serious note with some vial and offensive lyrics.

Overdoze takes what’s been done, clears is throat and goes into several different styles of sound. We talked about that, but just listen to the song on your own. You will hear so much more. Listen to that clubby, industrial delivery. Let your girlfriend or even your first date listen to it. Then crank up the volume so they can hear, I’d be cursed if we fucked, dick in your guts. That takes what’s been done by Eminem and Tyler the Creator and perfecting that art with bluntness.

Verdict

Easily, without a doubt this held us over until the release of Anakin from King Gordy. This was horror shock rap, without the repetition of slitting someone’s throat. This is that music you’ve been wanting. This is old school meets new school. Horror rap meets industrial club music. Don’t forget, Xtra threw in that reggae.

No longer do you need an album with variety. This one song has it all. It’s right here. For you. We have it, brand new off the press! Let us know what you think in the comments below! So, without further ado, Strait Jacket!
