Rapper Speaks On Mac Miller’s Passing

Rapper Redd Shares His Thoughts On Mac Miller

Written By: Sid Jones

Rapper Redd has come out and shared his thoughts and feelings. Mac Miller, a rapper that has been around for quite some time, passed away from unconfirmed causes. The 26 year old was discovered in his Los Angeles area home around noon on September 7th. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Mac has been known for songs such as, Dang!, Donald Trump, Smile Back, and Of The Soul. Mac had also collaborated with royalty.

As with most celebrities, Mac Miller’s unexpected passing has erupted all over social media. With that, comes the hate, the trolling, the memes, and of course the people having to tell their friends how much they don’t care. As some mourn the death of this young artist, others are degrading and spewing vile posts online. One of the greatest MCs in the underground came out to share his thoughts. This is what the quickly rising artist had to say:

“I fucking hate contrarians who think they’re smart for telling people it’s ‘just a celebrity, you didn’t even know them.’ Go fuck yourself, somebody died. It’s possible for strangers and people we don’t know to heavily effect our lives and even alter the course of our path. Let people mourn and celebrate the life of someone they adored without being that prick that has to put in your two cents because you don’t feel empathy. #RIPMacMiller”

As most would expect, the reaction to his post lead to a lot of positive reinforcement, celebrating his words in the comments. A lot of the people showed their love and support. His words shouldn’t just be held on to for just Mac Miller, but as a reminder for when tragedy strikes next. We should all remember the words Redd has spoken. We should reach out to our friends that feel as though, they lost one today. We should be mindful of the things we post when it comes to someone losing their life. Redd is a prime example of what artists and people in the industry should be. So from everyone here at RoxxxTV, we want to say thank you and we #StandWithRapperRedd

Before you leave this article with grim thoughts, we thought we’d share with you songs to take with you. Songs that might help you get through some of the hardest times. Our way of reminding you, you’re not alone.
