Bad Dream 17 And Other Forgotten Underground Artists

Bad Dream 17 Is Just One Of Many Artists We All Miss At RoxxxTV

Written By: Sid Jones

With Attack of the Ninjas upon us and the 19th annual Gathering of the Juggalos behind, I think it’s time we revisit some of the artists we’ve known and loved. Some of these artists you may not be familiar with. Maybe you will be. This is a reminder to us all to remain humble. This list will contain some great songs from some very talented MCs. So without further ado, ladies and gentleman let us tip our hats and look back at the would-be legends of our time. The nostalgia is about to get cranked to 9,000.

Bad Dream 17

You know it’s a long forgotten artist when you can’t even come up with search results. The only way I was able to find this song, was because I still listen to it on a weekly basis. In case you didn’t notice, there is no picture of this guy anywhere on this article. Trust me, I looked. Back in the good old days of Myspace, music artists had the ability to attach their singles with their profile. For the younger audience reading this, it was a lot like Facebook mixed with SoundCloud. Actually, saying that makes me think that Myspace needs to make a comeback. It would probably have less banning and more practices of freedom of speech. Come back Tom, we miss you!

But I digress. One night, I was listening to music with a friend of mine. He was the one that introduced me to Bad Dream 17. The two songs I really liked of his were Like Mallory Knox and Three Years Ago Today. Both of which, you can find down below. The only thing I could find on this artist, was that he was at the 10th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos. So, 9 years ago this guy performed. It seems like he vanished without a trace. No record of him online. Looking up information on him was like looking up a missing person. I think we need an underground private investigator.

There are rumors and speculations on this elusive horrorcore artist. One man claims he was friends with Bad Dream 17 AKA, Jefferey Scott for fifteen years. He says in the comments of the video, Three Years Ago Today that Scott was quote, “He is locked up for beating his girlfriend in the head with a hammer.” Jess Burr also states that Bad Dream 17 wasn’t the violent type. Again, the fact remains that his music would be praised today. This is why we promote artists we love folks! So they will never be forgotten in the lost realm of the internet.

Midwest Suspex

A little more less elusive than the previously mentioned. However, it’s certainly a group that all of us here at RoxxxTV mentioned. Okay, they mentioned it and I’ll admit, I never heard of them. That’s the whole fun of this list. Is to look back at the underground artists that haven’t done anything. This isn’t a missing person’s report, this is a list of artists and groups that have fallen under the radar. Fallen off the map. So, I went and listened to Midwest suspects and I actually kind of like them. Their music was certainly hardcore Hip-Hop. There music is still up for sale, according to the following link:

The album is called The Lineup and the only song I found on YouTube was Klub Bent. There’s live performances from the Gathering of the Juggalos 2004. If you’re interested we got you covered! So feel free to scroll down below and have a listen to some forgotten freshness!

Merduh The Innocynce

This was an artist I enjoyed listening to back in 2011. No Turning Back was an amazing song and it had a big name roster. Featuring Playboy The Beast, Mr. Grey, Mars and Dubbs. Merduh The Innocynce was a good MC with a lot of talent. Where is he now? I have no idea. I just know that he’s an artist that thrived years ago and fell of the map. Again, this list isn’t just for readers. This is a reminder to artists that even great songs, massive features, opening for big names and other tactics can only get you so far. It’s the people that stand behind you. The people that stand beside you. It’s the company you keep.

Q Strange

I don’t know much about this artist either. Other than the RoxxxTV team mentioned him to me. They wanted him on the list. I have looked at his catalog and it goes back quite a few years. I’ve also noticed that he’s had quite a following. Some of the things I liked were Heroin and Eternal Bliss. The name sounds really familiar. I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen him live. I guess it goes to show that artists like you’ve read about in this article could easily end up being any other artist around today.

There are artists that withstood the test of time. They have outlived and outshined others. Whether you like the artists in this article or not, know that the artists you support today could easily disappear. They could end up being a whisper from the past. Truth be told, every artist mentioned has had some sort of impact. Positive or negative, they had fans. They worked hard to make the music and make a name for themselves. The artists of today are doing the same.
