Artist Aerna : Mak Loo

This weeks artist arena is a dope double feature on two artists making waves and catching notice in Detroit and the downriver area. Who are we talking about you ask? None other than the original Mad Boy master mak of them all, Mak Loo and his main mans of Mad Boy Entertainment Richi Rasta. We have a triple feature this week on RoxxxTv with their manager and also co owner of Mad Boy Entertainment, Jamye “Finchy” Finch in an article shedding light on the woman of the industry from the fore front female artists and models to the managers, talent scouts, promoters, owners and business ladies behind the scenes. We are here though to speak and hear on South West Detroit’s own Ice Cube the ever infamous Mak Loo.

This guy here is the the perfect mix of art, gangsta, business things that epically make up the attitude anybody from the city of Detroit carries. His music could be the track you ride out to, party to, get gully or what ever you want. His delivery and sound can take you back to the later funk and soul days of Motown with a dash of west coast influence . Mak Loo is one dude I’d have to say is truly real and about his hustles but isn’t afraid to bust down and have a good time. Mak and Richi Rasta have been together a short time but are building a movement with each other and Jamye with their music, show presence and way they provide a great experience for every supporter and fan whether at a show or over a beat. There is no doubt within the next year there will be a Mad Boy take over nobody in Michigan can ignore. I’m excited to hear and see what comes next out of this label and their artists and I’m gonna stay bumpin MAKavelli until you drop new stuff bro. Much love to MBE , Mak Loo , Richi Rasta and Finchy for hooking up the interviews and their time.

Of course I’mma real nigga. I’mma help anybody that deserve n need to be helped. I do not fuk wit fuk boiz tho. REAL NIGGAZ ONLY!
You are making waves through Detroit and downriver. How does it feel to have other metro artists respecting you and lil dudes who have influence from your style or music?
I ain’t even know I influenced anybody cuz niggaz don’t show luv where I’m from lol but r.i.p my nigga Zanni Dave. He da only downriver nigga I could take under my wing and give him what lil game I had on certain shyt but most my niggaz already got they own lane but da rest of deez yung punks mannnnnnnn fuk emmmm. I don’t fuk wit em. The ones I do fuk wit dey know wat it be.
Tell me how you and Ricchi Rasta started Bum Rich Niggas and Slither Gang ? What’s it stand for and how do you feel that these hashtags are becoming a movement?
I met my nigga Rasta at the bar playing pool. Real niggaz just link like dat sometimes, found out he do music and been down ever since. He a real nigga. My nigga Rasta started Slither Gang and I can’t tell u what it mean but either u gaaaaang or u strange lol  & s/o to hashtags.
As of late, fellow Mad Boy artists and label mates have come under fire by a local rapper down river Z Perelli. He pays homage to you and respect but at the same time is dissing and trying to beef with your boys Richi Rasta and D.G. Savage. How do you play this move and do you think he will affect the downriver music scene?
Lol lol damn this shyt must got big to get asked bout dawg lol well I noticed he ain’t really want no smone wit dem boiz. It was just something to get attention or clout what they call it but naw I think the fact he tried to start some shyt let me know we poppin but as far as da team u say fuk dem den I’m riding. Just how it is wit me but it wasn’t nothin serious.
Do you feel this beef started because Perelli wanted to market himself off names that are moving in the local scene or is this just a hater thing ?
I’m sure he seen #slithergang too much he had to take a shot at da gang. He failed ….he won’t try dat no mo tho factz.
Who’s your favorite local rapper right now and what producer is making the hottest beats in your opinion?
My new fav local artist is all Mad Boy Entertainment. Me, Richi, D.G., Swagg, Teop, Odinn, Clutch, Nesto …….others ATM Krown, K Gaines, Cain, Vegaz Floss Alot, Odd Ball, Bpat, RIP Zanni Dave.

Yuuuuuup, we droppin end of summer.
Any tips for future artists, DJ’s, freestylers, entertainers and business men?
